#textiletuesday Vs. Brass & Blue

Brass, Blue & Toddler Approved

Whether you have young children who are constantly wreaking havoc on your home or a grown family that you host on weekends or during holidays, a family-friendly living room is where some of life’s most important moments go down. So why not craft a space that’s both seriously comfy and stylish?

This family room is just that – a space for a young family with two sweet girls under the age of four to spend family time. This three-story town home went under serious renovation transforming what is traditionally considered a place of relaxation into functional area that the whole family can use and enjoy.

Blue is the stand-out color which pops against the white and brass furniture. Jane Page Design Group opted for a gray palette to provide a clean backdrop for the eye-catching furnishings—check out the brass lamps and coffee table. The carpet is a solution dyed material to insure stain resistant and durability.

In the dining room, a brass chandelier contrasts boldly with the home’s traditional furniture.

The gray walls continue in the kitchen with blue pin striping that can be seen in the white cabinets. The chevron backslash and brass accents in the vent-hood, hardware and lighting complete the look of the kitchen and tie all the spaces together.
