This living room recently took home the first place honors for Architectural Feature in the 2016 ASID Awards!!

Our team of Houston designers were inspired by the circular architecture of this contemporary living room and the organically shaped pebble transition in the floor that seamlessly connects the homes interior with the exterior. Textural split face stone spans from top to bottom on the fireplace wall and adds an element of warmth to the space. This addition allowed the designers to introduce a bright white paint on the walls without making the space "cold contemporary". The stairs, railing and ceiling beams were refinished in deep black to pop against the white and to further highlight the curvy-organic architecture that inspired this homes interior.
