We try to pull inspiration for #textiletuesday's from current events and the Villanova Wildcats victory over the North Carolina Tar Heels for the 2016 Men's Basketball National Championship could not have worked more in our favor! Because, lets be honest, who doesn't love a blue and white color scheme?
Villanova University opted for classic school colors — Navy (Pantone 281), Light Blue (Pantone 298), and White — that can tastefully be incorporated in any home design project.
Once our color palette was finalized, Thibaut immediately came to mind! Their fabrics and wallpapers have a distinct style that can transform even the most drab room into a fab room that's beaming with stylish elegance.
Pattern and scale play an important role in making a textile selection. As designer's we need to consider the dimensions of the space, pattern repeats and the overall design intent for the room. Set goals for your homes interior and establish a style. Do you want to make a bold statement? Or do you prefer a more subtle approach? Thankfully, Thibaut has hundreds of patterns available in a wide range of scales.
Another perk this textile company offers to designers is that a majority of their patterns are available in both fabric and wallpaper. So, if you absolutely fall in love with one of their prints, you can literally put it everywhere.. not that this is always the best decision for decorating your homes interior, but if done right, the end result can be amazing.
All of our designer's get excited when a package arrives from Thibaut with new sample books. It's almost like Christmas.. almost. I can assure you, no time is wasted when it comes to ripping open the box to see what exciting new textiles await our future design projects!
