"There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of man."
— Sir Winston Churchill
This weeks design inspiration stems from a local Houston charitable cause, The 71st Pin Oak Charity Horse Show, benefiting The Ronald McDonald House, Texas Children's Hospital and Candlelighters of Houston. The Pin Oak Charity Horse Show has a rich history filled with time-honored traditions, equestrian excellence and fabulous events that raise funds and awareness for children's healthcare. These efforts provide a means for further research, medical advancements and improvements to the overall healthcare experience of families during treatment and after treatment.
Pin Oak's final week has already begun and carries through to the end of the weekend. This fun, family-oriented event is a great opportunity to get outside, shop and watch some of the finest horse and rider combinations compete for charity!

Heritage Country Style
The equestrian style is appealing for many reason and has been a staple inspiration for numerous designs throughout the fashion and home industries. It's stylish and chic, but also classic and elegant.
Leather, brass, steel, neutral tones and traditional hues — navy, hunter green and burgundy — are essential to this style.
Hermès is the epitome of high-fashion equestrian apparel and home design, so naturally we were drawn to using their fabrics and wallpapers. Bonus: They're also a sponsor for The Pin Oak Charity Horse Show and have a vendor booth set up for your own enjoyment!
