About Jane-Page Crump
“Attention to detail!” That’s the immediate response when interior designer Jane-Page Crump is asked to sum up the work of her firm, Jane Page Design Group. And she means it.
From the perfect combination of colors in a serene master bedroom to the most beautiful yet durable stone for a kitchen floor, every detail receives the exacting attention of Jane-Page and her talented team of designers. Known for elegant and distinctive interiors, Jane Page Design Group specializes in new construction design and remodeling of high-end residential properties. JPDG projects have also included commercial projects such as banks, restaurants and executive offices.
“Our style can be described as comfortable, dramatic and livable,” Jane-Page says. “Each interior is tailored to the client’s taste and lifestyle.” Her inspiration, she explains, comes from her clients – their likes, dislikes and dreams for their homes. “I want our clients’ homes to be truly new in every aspect – technology, energy efficiency, and finishing products. The beautiful custom interiors we create exceed our clients’ expectations.”
The full-service design firm Jane-Page founded in Houston in 1977 today includes a design and support staff. “Time is money, and when two or more designers are assigned to a project, someone is always available to make timely decisions,” says Jane-Page, who is lead designer on each project. “I believe that collaboration by a team of designers leads to more sophisticated and detailed designs.”
The JPDG team approach also means working closely with the finest contractors and architects to ensure that the clients’ requirements for budget and custom design are met. The firm’s impressive client list includes many Fortune 500 executives, celebrities and political notables.
Function is foremost in a JPDG interior, followed by an artistic balance of colors, textures and patterns. Custom cabinetry, intricate detailing, rich finishes and specialized lighting are signature to the firm’s award-winning designs.
Jane-Page attributes her success, in part, to her diverse education in business, fashion design and interior design. Before returning to design and completing the NCIDQ certification exam for interior designers, she earned an MBA in finance from the University of Texas.
To achieve excellent design and constantly improve, Jane-Page encourages continued studies. “To be a good interior designer, you must build on your passion for design by continually studying and educating yourself,” she believes. “In addition to learning about new products and installation options from vendors, our staff frequently takes field trips to further our exposure to new ideas and products. I have taken my designers to France and Italy, where we focused on historical architecture as well as innovative designs.”
JPDG design work has won numerous accolades from local, national and international organizations and has been published in books, magazines and newspapers. In addition to her design work, Jane-Page is known for her professional service. A member of the American Society for Interior Designers (ASID), she is a former president of the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter. She is also a past president of the Texas Association of Interior Design (TAID), currently serving on the board.
A skilled public speaker, Jane Page frequently addresses design seminars, willingly sharing her knowledge of and admiration for the profession. “Interior design brings together my love of people and beautiful, functional interiors. To be of value to my clients, design cannot be a part-time job. I immerse myself into every project, melding architecture, marvelous fabrics, art and the psychology of the space to create breathtaking interiors that perfectly fit my clients’ needs and dreams,” she states.
